The exciting, new 2011-2012 Part Time Course Guide for Hertford Regional College (HRC) is now available.

There are hundreds of excellent part time courses to choose from including vocational courses such as accounting, information technology, hairdressing and plumbing for those who would like to improve their skills and knowledge with a view to furthering their careers.

There are also many leisure courses which could help with the start of a new hobby and interest such as drawing and painting, dressmaking, interior design and cooking for pleasure.

We offer a huge range of part time courses and it is important to find the right level for you. Some courses are to provide a taster of a subject and to develop your skills and others will provide you with qualifications to help you return to work, retrain or progress in your current role.

We also offer access courses which prepare individuals who would like to study for a degree, they run over one or two years and flexible study programmes are available. Foundation degrees are designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge that businesses are looking for. They can offer a route into Higher Education, lead straight to a job, or prepare you for developing your professional skills in the future. At HRC these are offered in a number of subject areas and typically run over the course of a day or evening once a week.

Principal Andy Forbes is keen to extend a warm welcome to all prospective students and describes HRC as the local provider of top quality vocational education. “There’s never been a better time to come to this College. We have amazing new buildings at Ware and Broxbourne. The buildings not only look fabulous but are crammed with the latest technology and most up-to-date education and training and facilities. As always I can promise that you will be taught by excellent teachers, all of them experts in their field, all of them helpful and friendly. “

The Part Time Course Guides are free and are available at both Broxbourne and Ware Campuses as well as libraries, Nextstep and Connexions Centres.’
