Are you thinking of working in business, retail or administration but not sure which area to choose? This practical work-related qualification will introduce you to the skills and knowledge essential for a career in business and administration and/or progression to a Level 2 qualification.

What can I do next?
If you achieve a Pass and Functional Skills, and achieve the appropriate level of attendance, you will be able to progress on to a Level 2 programme. Most learners move on to the Business Enterprise - BTEC Level 2 Certificate. You could also choose to go into employment or an apprenticeship.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is continuous throughout the course. Methods of assessment vary from unit to unit and include practical and theory assessments - both written and practical observations. The qualification has a number of core and optional modules, which all learners will study.
You will need Functional skills in English and maths at Level 1 or Entry Level 3 and have a keen interest in business or administration.
You will be required to come to college with an attitude that reflects your aspiration to develop and maintain a professional approach to your studies and improve your employability skills.

What do I need to bring?
You will need to provide stationery including a memory stick, folder, paper and pens. A text book will also be required. Your tutor will give you further details.
Free to those under 19 on 31 August 2019.
If you are 19 or over on 31 August 2019, have been a permanent resident in the EU for the last 3 years and are a fee-paying new entrant, you will pay approximately £2000 tuition fee for a Level 2 qualification and approximately £5500 for a Level 3 qualification (these were the fees for 2018/19 and could be subject to change for 2019/20).
Fee-paying students continuing on the same course for a second year will be charged £2000 tuition fee for a Level 2 qualification and approximately £8500 for a Level 3 qualification (these were the fees for 2018/19 and could be subject to change for 2019/20).
If you are aged 19-23 you may also be entitled to free training if the course you choose is your first full Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
