This programme is ideal if you have completed Level 2 or you are working at a more intermediate level and want to develop your accounting skills. This level introduces more complex accounting tasks such as maintaining cost accounting records and preparation of accounts.

What can I do next?
Level 4 AAT which will enable you to achieve the full qualification as a professionally qualified accountant.
What will I be doing?
There are six units that must be completed:
- Advanced Bookkeeping
- Preparation of Final accounts for sole traders and partnerships
- Management accounting: costing
- Indirect taxation
- Spreadsheets for accounting
- Ethics for accountants
Ethics for accountants and Spreadsheets for accounting are assessed by a synoptic assessment which will include prior learning for all units with the exception of indirect tax. This exam will bring your level 3 studies to a close.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by examination set and marked by the AAT.
Entry requirements
AAT Accounting Certificate Level 2. If you do not have this we strongly recommend that you apply for one of our Level 2 courses as this is essential for success at level 3. A telephone interview may be required.
