Students will be introduced to the basics of drafting a bodice pattern from scratch and constructing a toile with finished hem and facing(s). The pattern will function as a template for future pattern drafting and will include drafting a sleeve for more intermediate learners.
Dependent on ability, students can progress on to creating a final garment in the fabric of their choice.
There are no formal entry requirements.
What do I need to bring?
Pattern paper, card and midweight calico are included in the course fee.
Please bring a note/sketch book and pencils to the first session. Pins, dressmaking shears, PatternMaster, and tailors chalk are desirable but not essential. Students will need to provide fabric if progressing on to create a finished garment.
£150 for the 10 week block.
These fees are indicative of the 2021-22 costs and may be subject to change
