This one year course will provide you with the skills required to gain an NVQ Level 2 qualification specialising in Professional Cookery. The course is a blend of practical cookery and theory giving you professional catering skills which are widely recognised within the industry. It is suitable for those people wanting to enter the profession, already working in the industry and those who cook for pleasure. It can lead to an Advanced Catering qualification.

What can I do next?

You can progress on to NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery.

What will I be doing?

  • NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery
  • Food Safety Certificate (CIEH).

How will I be assessed?

Assessment consists of a number of units broken down into elements, both mandatory and optional. These will be assesed in the practical and theory areas.

Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements however an interview is required.

What do I need to bring?

You will need to have a uniform and knives. If you do not have any knives, these can be supplied.
