The Training for this course is delivered over 41 weeks 2 days per week at the CK Assessment and Training Centre on the Nazeing Glassworks Industrial Estate (half a mile from Broxbourne Train Station)

You will also have to attend the Centre to finalise all the assignment tasks associated with certification. This will include 5-Days practical assessment which your tutor will arrange with you nearer the end of the course

What will I be doing?

You will follow an integrated programme at CK assessment and Training in Nazeing. This qualification is for learners wanting to learn the basic skills and knowledge involved in

Plumbing. The qualification covers a range of basic tasks and

Underpinning knowledge involved in plumbing.

·        Health and safety

·        Copper and plastic pipework

·        Installation of plumbing systems

·        Drainage

·        Maintenance

·        Environmental technologies

 

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is continuous throughout the course and includes practical assessments, written and oral tests and assignments.

Entry requirements

A keen interest in following a career in plumbing

·        you will also complete maths and English qualifications if you haven't got them already as they are essential within the industry

·        You must be able to attend the centre in Nazing by 9:00am for the start of your day

·        All students must have completed a successful initial assessment and interview

 

What do I need to bring?

During practical workshops session's Personal Protective footwear and overalls will be required at all times. The general classroom equipment

Fee Information

Free to those under 19 on 31st August 2021.

If you are 19 or over on 31st August 2021, have been a permanent resident in the EU for the last 3 years and are a fee paying new entrant you will pay approx. £2000 tuition fee for a Level 2 qualification and approx. £5500 for a Level 3 qualification (these were the fees for 2020/21 and could be subject to change for 2021/22).

Fee paying students continuing on the same course for a second year will be charged £2000 tuition fee for a Level 2 qualification and approx. £3500 for a Level 3 qualification (these were the fees for 2020/21 and could be subject to change for 2021/22).

If you are aged 19-23 you may also be entitled to free training if the course you choose is your first full Level 2 or Level 3 qualification. You may also be required to pay an administration fee, exam fees, kit fee and an Awarding Body Registration fee if applicable.
