Spanish for Beginners is designed for people who are new to the Spanish language or may have a little knowledge of the language which requires some improvement. This 15-week course will introduce you to the language and provide you with the confidence to progress onto an 'Improve your Spanish' class which will commence in February 2024.
Spanish for Beginners will now run on a Tuesday evening at Broxbourne for 2 hours a week. 6.30pm - 8.30pm.
What will I be doing?
Developing core skills in reading, writing and speaking in Spanish so you can communicate on everyday issues such as food/drink, travel, weather, accommodation, time, colours, numbers, dates, describing people and places.

How will I be assessed?
There is no formal assessment for this course; however you may agree some individual learning goals with your tutor and keep a learning plan to monitor your progress.

There are no entry requirements for this course.
What do I need to bring?
Enthusiasm and some time to do homework; a sense of humour and willingness to do group work and take part in role plays to develop your speaking and listening skills. You will be expected to attend every week or notify your tutor for reason of absence, failure to do so could result in you being withdrawn.
The college will provide Spanish dictionaries and worksheets as necessary but you will be expected to buy a Spanish work book as directed by your tutor.
