Employers

At HRC, we work with an ever-growing community of employers in various sectors, all across the UK. They help us with our curriculum, ensuring that we are teaching skills that suit the needs of industry; with apprenticeships, working alongside us to deliver qualifications in the workplace; through work placements and work experience, essential for the personal development and employability of our students; and with volunteering opportunities, enriching the learning experience of our students and giving them the chance to make positive change within their local community

As an education and training provider, many employers also choose us when they need to train or upskill their employees. Our excellent on-site facilities, such as our CSCS Centre, or partner facilities, such as the Welding bays at Betterweld, and Plumbing and Gas workshops at CK Assessment & Training, enable us to help you with certifications, as well as qualifications.

We’re always looking for new employers and businesses to work with, whether that’s to support apprenticeships, work placements, work experience, or volunteering opportunities. We also run a number of events throughout the year, both for students, and the general public, with opportunities for you to get involved.

Looking for Talent?

If you’re looking for new talent, you’re in the right place.

Whether it’s an apprenticeship, work placement, work experience or volunteering, businesses and employers like you play a crucial role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of learners by providing opportunities for them to apply what they’ve learnt in the workplace.

Employing an apprentice is a great way to bring fresh ideas to your business and help you stay competitive in your sector. Apprenticeships can also improve the productivity and effectiveness of your existing staff.

Whilst taking on a student for an industry placement is a commitment, it can help your business in a number of ways.

You also get the satisfaction of knowing you have helped shaped their future career, invested in their learning, and have ensured they meet the same standards that employers across the country expect.

All of our students on full-time study programmes must complete a minimum of 35 hours work experience, relating to one or more units of their course.

As an employer, not only are you helping to bridge the grap between education and employment, there are also a number of benefits for you as well.

Volunteering is a great way for our students to build their employability skills and apply their learning through projects that create positive impact, in our local community and beyond.

Upskill Your Workforce

Boost productivity and enhance skillsets across your business with our bespoke training programmes, designed to motivate and challenge your workforce, improving employee retention through clear and effective continuous professional development.

We offer a wide range of courses that could help your business, from supporting skills like accounting and administration, through to accredited vocational and professional qualifications, across growing and established sectors.

Our offering has been developed in partnership with local businesses to ensure we are teaching the relevant skills to meet the needs of our community. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, get in touch, and we can create a package that’s the right fit for you.

Engagement

Whether you’d like to teach a masterclass, deliver a guest lecture to support one of our qualifications, exhibit your products or job opportunities at one of our careers fairs, or even set our students an industry project to help find innovative solutions for your business, engaging with our students is one of the best ways to hear fresh perspectives and engage with your future workforce.

Employers like you also play an important role in supporting our growth and development as an education provider. If you would like to offer your insight and advice around topics like skills gaps, industry trends, employability, innovation or work experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Support the next generation of talent and increase your brand visibility through sponsorship opportunities at a college with over 3000 students.

We host a number of events throughout the year, including exhibitions, theatre and music performances, employer fairs, fashion shows, competitions, sports events and charity fundraisers.

Whether you want to sponsor an entire event, or a single award, your generosity will directly support our learners. That could be by equipping them with the best tools for the job, providing further opportunities to showcase their work, or commending their achievments.

Recruitment Services

Student outcomes and destinations are at the heart of everything we do. Working directly with employers allows us to create seamless, positive transitions for our learners, from college into work or further study.

We can promote your opportunities to over 3000 students, across a range of sectors and experience.

Many of our long-standing partners recruit from us year on year, not only because of the quality of our teaching, but also because of the work we do together to ensure we are teaching our learners skills that are relevant and valuable to those employers.
