We also recently hosted our 4th Annual Inter-College Patisserie Competition. Professional Cookery students competed with students from Harlow College and New City College London to produce a sponge-based dessert, a chocolate-based dessert and a fruit-based dessert in just four hours. Local MP Charles Walker was in attendance for the awards ceremony with our Principal Tony Medhurst. Our judges were; Heather Kaniuk - Executive Patisserie Chef at Shanghai-La, The Shard and Ritchy Folds, Head Chef at McMullens The Kings Mead, Ware. They were both incredibly impressed with all three entries, so much so, that second and third place turned into joint runners up. Our Level 1 learners Katie Bitmead and Joshua Cena scooped up first prize with their amazing dishes.
