In the past year Winchmore Brickwork have kindly dontated a substantial amount of goods (including brand new, industry-standard bricks for our Bricklaying students) in order to help us build a better learning environment for our students. It goes without saying, their generosity is appreciated by both staff and students alike.
A special thanks also goes to Construction Lecturer, Jack Dawson, who has been working closely with the company.
We were recently invited to spend the day with Antony, a former HRC student and current Winchmore Brickwork employee.
Antony said, "my qualification gave me the core knowledge that I use in my day to day job" ... "Being a supervisor, Health and Safety is a key part of my role."
Antony also recognised how being a former Apprentice has helped him to better manage Apprentices at Winchmore Brickwork, "I recognise that I need to put time out every week to sit down and help the apprentices with their course work, I also ensure they have time out on their own to be able to complete their work every week."
