Dear Student/Parent

I am writing to update you following the latest government guidance which you will have read about in the media yesterday.

Term 2 will commence as planned from Tuesday the 5th of January. However, the majority of classes will now be moving on line for that week.

Any students required to attend face to face classes that week will be notified by their tutors.

Normal timetabled sessions will resume week commencing the 11th Jan 2021 for all students.

We continue to respond to further government guidance and will keep you all informed of any updates.

UPDATE - Dec 2020

Dear Student/Parent

The Department For Education have advised that, where possible, all face to face teaching ends on Thursday 17th December. Therefore, all College sessions will be online on Friday the 18th of December and no face to face sessions will be taking place on site that day at our main College sites. Term 2 will then commence with a return to timetable from Tuesday the 5th of January.

With recommendation from the DFE we would like to make you aware of the following information and relevant arrangements regarding positive cases during the holidays:

·         Where a student tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms more than 48 hours since being on site students should follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace . https://www.nhs.uk/apps-library/nhs-covid-19/

·         Students, parents, and carers only need to inform further education providers of a positive case where symptoms occur within 48 hours of the confirmed case being on site.

Be aware of scam emails - We have been informed that some parents have received an email stating the following: ‘As schools will be closing, if you’re entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we’ll make sure you’re supported’. We can confirm that this is a scam email and is not official. We urge parents that if you receive any emails like this, please do not respond, and delete it immediately.
