On Friday 25th November, our Level 2 Sports Coaching students led a ‘Cultural Crest Charity Event’ as part of their Planning and Running a Sports Event module👏.

Students and staff members across the college were asked to wear a sports shirt that showcases their heritage/background whilst making a small donation to support a chosen charity. Learners across the college managed to raise £100 for a great cause whilst celebrating the diversity of sports around the world🌎.

Well done everyone!

Today our Level 3 Sport and Science students participated in an Exercise Physiology workshop with the University of Essex's outreach programme💪🏃‍♂️

The Exercise Physiology session supported our student's understanding of aerobic and anaerobic parameters of fitness, VO2 max, respiratory exchange ratio, lactate thresholds and energy systems. During this session learners took part in VO2 max, testing their aerobic endurance and comparing their data to elite athlete norms.

Well done to everyone who took part, and thank you to the team at University of Essex for supporting our student's studies!👏
