HRC celebrates student’s success

Hertford Regional College (HRC) hosted the very first of its new style Further Education Awards on Thursday 15th June 2017. The awards ceremony, which was held at the Colleges Broxbourne Campus, celebrated the success and achievements of HRCs students and staff.

Ware in Bloom, an organisation run by HRC Governor Jan Wing, is delighted to have won the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service 2017.

Hertford Regional College hosted an Election Husting on Wednesday 31 May. This is the first Hustings that HRC has hosted and it was a very successful evening. It was held in the Michael Morpurgo Theatre at our Broxbourne Campus in order for local candidates to put their case forward to win the votes of the local community, staff and students. Three of the Broxbourne parliamentary candidates attended.

Our Director of Curriculum for Creative and Enterprise, Siobhan Dunne has been singing for the last two years in ‘The Missing People Choir’, grown from the charity ‘Missing People’. After auditioning for the ITV show Britain’s Got Talent, they successfully made it through to the Semi Finals and will be performing again on Friday 2nd June.

SafeGuard Clothing (the international body armour distributor) continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the quality of educational programmes, across the country by the donation of bullet proof vests for use in HRC's Public Services courses.
