On Thursday 19th May, our Performing Arts students worked with Hertfordshire County Councils Highways team to create short videos for their latest campaign: ‘Respect our Workforce’.

The collaboration started when the students were originally involved in giving feedback on a film provided by the Highways team, promoting road safety with young people.

This then led to our students being used as actors in their next video campaign, located at their recycle centres. The scripts were written from actual events that the staff across numerous recycle depots in Herts have experienced, including verbal and physical abuse.

Our Performing Arts students re-created these scenes at the Ware recycling centre, and the short films will be shared across the council’s social media, and at all the recycle depots to inform the public.
