During this informal and friendly workshop, students will be guided through how to construct an envelope cushion - a quick and effective way to use up leftover fabric and a great way to change the look in a room, with the option to add piping dependent on student experience/ability.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, all levels welcome.

What do I need to bring?

Students are encouraged to bring their own fabric or clothing for recycling/upcycling. You will require 3 pieces of fabric, of a similar weight, each measuring 50cms sq.

A selection of remnants, offcuts and deadstock fabrics will be available for anyone unable to bring their own.

Fee Information

£45

A 40 x 40cm hollow fibre cushion is included in the course fee.

These fees are indicative of the 2024-25 costs and may be subject to change

Further Information

This workshop is scheduled from 10:00 - 14:00 on Saturday 6 July 2024 at our Ware Campus.

All our Art & Design Short Courses are for aged 18+ unless otherwise specified.

Once your booking/payment has been processed on our system, you will receive an email confirming your booking (please allow 3 to 5 working days for this). 

The Department will contact you via email with start-up instructions approximately 1 week before the start of the course.

All our Art & Design Short Courses run subject to reaching minimum numbers. In the event we are unable to run the course you are booked on to, you will be offered a space on an alternative course or a full refund of the course fee.

We endeavour to remove our courses from the website once courses are full, in the unlikely event you are able to pay for a course that is full, you will be offered a space on an alternative course or a full refund of the course fee.
