Earlier this week our Public Services students recieved a workshop delivered by London Fire Brigade.

London fire and rescue service is one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world and with their services always being in demand, alongside other fire and rescue services accross the UK, it's no wonder why so many students decide to opt in for a Public Services course, a qualification that will provide them with the skills they need to step straight into the industry.

The workshop was focussed around progression and careers in fire services and was led by fireman Darren Placid. Darren was able to provide the students with insight into what it's like working for 'LFB' and delivered advice and guidance regarding career opportunities.

Darren also kindly provided 1:1 mentoring for those students who took a particular interest into a career with 'LFB'.

This was a great networking opportunity for our students and we look forward to working with 'LFB' again in the future.
