There is no better place to start your career in the Catering and Hospitality industry than right here at HRC. Our exceptional on-site restaurant, The Atrium, is where you will be preparing, cooking, presenting and serving lunches and evening meals to the public. The standards here are high, as The Atrium is consistently ranked as one of the best restaurants in the local area on TripAdvisor. While studying, you will be supported by a team of experienced chefs as well as the restaurant training manager who has over 18 years experience in managing restaurants and public houses.
The opportunities to build your portfolio of skills are endless in this department, from working in The Atrium restaurant to creating and managing your own events. Events Management students regularly take part in and help co-ordinate the St Albans Fashion Week as well as hosting events in The Atrium. Our Catering and Hospitality students have had some fantastic opportunities to work alongside skilled chefs, including Masterchef finalist Joe Davis and semi-finalist Saira Hamilton. There are also opportunities to be involved in live catering briefs and commissions as well as hosting street food stalls at community events.
