Our exceptional on-site restaurant, The Atrium, is where you will be preparing, cooking, presenting and serving meals to the public. The standards are high at The Atrium as it has earned multiple awards including a Silver Hospitality Accreditation from People 1st and an AA College Award Rosette from The AA. The Atrium is also ranked the #1 restaurant in Broxbourne on TripAdvisor. During your time you will be supported by a team of experienced chefs and managers with a wealth of knowledge.
Work Experience
Catering and Hospitality students have previously worked alongside Masterchef finalists as well as frequently managed pop-up street food stalls at community events and enjoyed expert workshops from top chefs. To top it all off, Catering students regularly enter competitions whether that be the Annual Inter-College Patisserie competition (which our students won!) or national competitions such as Youth South African Chef of the Year.

EVENT MANAGEMENT
If you have a passion for managing events and see yourself as the next big events, wedding, festival or venue manager then our Events Management course will give you the opportunity to flex your planning, coordinating and networking skills. The course is a blend of classroom theory and practical activities. Students can go on to work within the industry or progress to our HND in Hospitality and Event Management.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Event Management students help to plan and run large scale events, past placements include Comic Con, Standon Calling, Dickensian Evening Ware and St Albans Fashion Week as well as hosting their own events during the year.
Those taking on our HND in Hospitality and Event Management, will get even more opportunities to experience the hospitality industry. This includes trips to New York, work experience at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium and days out tackling experiences like climbing the O2 building.
