Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy & Media Make-Up
OPEN EVENING at Hertford Regional College - 21st March 5.30pm - 8pm.
Come along to either Broxbourne or Ware Campus (Depending on your subject choice). Explore our state-of-the-art facilities, meet our tutors and get advice on the best course for you.
Our Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and Media Make-Up courses give you the opportunity to work in our exceptional on-site salon. With a total of eleven hairdressing and beauty salons, Inspires is one of the largest and most advanced salons of any college in the country and is open to members of the public. As a hairdresser or beauty therapist in the salon, you will be interacting with customers daily to not only hone your creative skills but improve your business understanding and customer service abilities. During your time at HRC, you will be taught by tutors and lecturers with a wealth of experience in the industry who have worked for high-end and well-known brands including MAC Cosmetics.
A wide range of opportunities are open to you in this department to build your employability skills, including workshops run by leading names in the industry and trips to prestigious establishments. There are also great chances to take part in exciting projects and events. For example, a previous group of students worked on the make-up for a fashion show organised by teenage cancer charity Teens Unite, hosted by fashion designer Karen Millen. Students will also be involved in community projects, most notably the annual Cancer Research Pamper Evening. Each year, Inspires partners with Cancer Research to host an evening of luxurious treatments delivered to customers by our students. Hair and Beauty students are also frequent winners at the annual HRC Diversity Awards where they regularly submit styles for a runway show that celebrates diversity.
