College Tours:
We can organise tours of our Ware and/or Broxbourne campus for your school to give your students the opportunity to see what’s on offer at each campus. They will get the chance to talk to the tutors and students, and see our outstanding industry-standard facilities.

Or, if you are a parent, we can offer bespoke tours for yourself and your child which are perfect for those who have not yet decided on their next step, or are unsure whether college is the right option for them.

Taster Sessions:
Bespoke one-hour taster sessions are available for either individuals or groups of students. Taster sessions available include:

  • Catering: Experience life as a chef for an hour and enjoy pizza-making in our professional kitchens
  • Hairdressing and Barbering: Get a feel for what it’s like to cut a hair or shave a beard in our professional, state of the art salons
  • Art and Design: Take part in badge-making, create a collage, draw, paint or do screen-printing in our newly updated art studios or in the David Gentleman gallery
  • Motor Vehicle: You could change a tyre, deflate it and reflate it to the correct pressure, check the breaks or work on an engine in our professional industry-standard motor vehicle workshops (Boots and overalls provided)
  • Hair, Media & Make-Up: Do you love to highlight and contour? Put your make up skills to the test in one of our 11 hair and beauty salons
  • Childcare/Health and Social Care: Do you see yourself as the next Mary Poppins? If you’d love to work in childcare, then why not get a taste of what it’s really like to work with children with our life-like baby simulator dolls

*Taster sessions must be arranged via school*

Schools are welcome to bring students into the college for an information session. In these sessions, students can find out what college life is really like through our impartial advice, information and guidance.

Careers Carousels:
Our Schools Liaison Officer is able to attend careers carousels at the request of schools and external careers services.

Assemblies:
Our Schools Liaison Officer will attend school assemblies to talk to your students about college life, courses on offer and to hold a question-and-answer session with students.
